Maybe the most fun you could have on four wheels. And then some.
If you’ve never been on the back of one of these amazing machines, you’re missing out. All –Terrain Vehicles (ATVs) have become increasingly popular in recent years as more people come to discover the joys of trail riding. Whether you’re out for an afternoon or setting out for a weekend adventure, Simcoe County offers some great places to ride, either on public or private land. Even better, if you’re new and anxious to give ATVing a try, there are nearby places to rent equipment, to acquire skills and get safely into this exciting hobby. Get trained and ride responsibly.

“It’s like rockin’ through the bush. It’s like pure adrenaline, right at the tip of your throttle thumb.”

In Simcoe County, the OFATV (Ontario Federation of All Terrain Vehicle Clubs) recommends that you stay on designated trails.
Designated trails are currently being negotiated with the County of Simcoe in regards to use of their Forests.
The OFATV also recommends that you review the Simcoe County Forests Recreational Use Policy, to protect your Right to Ride!
None of the rail trails in Simcoe County permit ATV’s, with the exception of the Tiny Trail, on which a trail permit issued by the Township of Tiny is required.
