Linear trails are continuous long distance trails for hiking, snowmobiling, cycling, etc. Linear trails are often on abandoned raillines, and may connect communities with each other, while passing through forests, rural landscapes, along a waterfront, etc.

NOTE:  The North Simcoe Railtrail is temporarily closed between George Johnson Road and Vespra Valley Road for bridge repairs over the Black Creek. Anticipated completion of the work is Nov 30, 2009.  You can detour this section by going south on Vespra Valley Road to Snow Valley Road, west to George Johnson Road, and north on George Johnson Road to where the North Simcoe Railtrail crosses George Johnson Road.
